Why one number can be misleading
Trading products do not all use the same pricing model. Share brokerage can have minimums or percentages; FX can use a percentage or variable spread; crypto trading can depend on order type, volume tier or execution path. Flattening those rules can hide the condition that actually determines the cost.

Examples of costs that change
Moneysmart notes that share investors may face brokerage, platform and FX fees. Coinbase Australia says some crypto fees can depend on payment method, order size and market conditions. These are different products, but both examples show why context belongs beside the number.
How TradingGuide should present uncertainty
A comparison should show the verified rule, the scope it applies to and the date/source. If a rule varies, say that it varies. If evidence is unavailable, say it is not verified. That is more useful than a false precision that looks easy to compare but is wrong.
What you can do as a reader
Start with your own hypothetical scenario: market, amount, currency, order path and expected activity. Use calculators where the rule can be modelled, then open the official source for conditions the calculator cannot safely reduce to a number.
